Visit to Dumfries & Galloway Wildlife Park
We saw all kinds of animals including otters, eagle, wild cats, mercats, red racoon (new baby cub) - it was fascinating to see how the animals lived. |
We then went back to the canteen for afternoon tea/coffee and lovely homemade cakes - then some of the brave members of the group had pictures taken with the Boa (snake). We all decided to give a donation to John to help build a new pen for the animals. We thanked John & Kathryn for their warm welcome and hospitality and left for Dumfries Station Hotel for High Tea.

The owner, John Denerely and his wife Kathryn, who are deaf themselves, welcomed our group of 17 people with tea & coffee. After refreshments, John gave usa guided tour of the Park - the rain started to pour down so we decided to have an early lunch of homemade soup and sandwiches - soon after the rain stopped and we continued our tour.
