Title:

Scottish Deaf Studies Tutors Group (SDSTG)

Aim:

To provide support to tutors of courses leading to Signature/CACDP examinations who live and teach in Scotland .

Objectives:

To promote standards of teaching and to offer opportunities to improve/develop teaching skills, by:

• Arranging support events such as meetings/seminars on curriculum and teaching practice
• Providing information and updates by newsletter (paper/email)
• Promoting formal training opportunities for tutors (teaching/training qualifications)
• Developing a Code of Practice

Membership:

Membership is open to all tutors who teach courses leading to Signature/CACDP examinations/assessments

• Members must live and teach in Scotland
• Membership fee is set at £10 per year – set at AGMs
• Membership year runs from April to March.

Voting:

All paid-up members will have a vote
The Chair will have an extra vote

The membership will elect a committee at every Annual Meeting.

The committee will include:

• Chair
• Vice Chair
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Committee members
• Co-opted members
