Deaf Awareness

With one-in-seven of the adult population being deaf it is of prime importance that service providers are aware of deaf people's needs and that services are as accessible as possible.

Deaf Awareness courses offer a solution to ensure deaf and hard of hearing people can access services.

Courses focus on the 'social' model rather than the medical aspects of deafness with effective communication being priority.
