Issues in Notetaking for CSWs/ESWs

Course description:
To specifically assist student support services in FE/HE institutions we have created a course which benefits not only support staff with deaf people but can also assist those working with students who have dyslexia.

• Understanding Speech & Language, & Hearing Aids
• Communication Tactics
• Issues in Note-taking with Deaf People
• Practical sessions
• Technical Aids to Communication
• Language Service Professionals

Courses can be individually adapted to suit participants

Who’s it for and what’s it about?

This course is aimed at those who are currently or wishing to work as a notetaker with deaf people within the further and higer education setting.

Course is a mixture of Deaf Awareness / Communication Tactics and practical issues in producing notes for a deaf person.
