Sensory Impairment Awareness

This course raises some of the issues around sensory impairment, it teaches basic communication skills and introduces resources available for deaf, blind and deafblind people.

It covers several areas of visual and hearing impairment and builds on a foundation provided by the social model of disability.

The three elements (below) will be delivered by a mixture of tutor led presentations, discussions, group work and practical exercises which will allow the fullest participation and understanding.
